Its flow is essentially nival, fed by melting snow and numerous mountain streams.<\/p>\n<p>The Pique is classified as a 1st category fish river for most of its length. It is mainly home to :<br \/>\nWild fario trout.<br \/>\nThe minnow.<br \/>\nNorthern loche.<br \/>\nSome accompanying species in downstream sections.<\/p>\n<p>A valid fishing licence is required to fish on the Pique. The courses are managed by the local AAPPMA and the departmental federation.
