An eclectic musician with an international reputation, David Cassan is one of the leading figures of the younger generation of French organists.
David Cassan trained at the Caen Conservatoire and at the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique in Paris and Lyon under Thierry Escaich, Pierre Pincemaille, Philippe Lefebvre, François Espinasse, Jean-François Zygel and Erwan Le Prado. He is now pursuing a career as a soloist, performing with prestigious ensembles (the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, Lyon National Orchestra, Capitole de Toulouse, and the Paris Choir and Symphony Orchestra) at numerous venues in France and abroad (Germany, England, Russia, China, Israel, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Iceland, Uruguay, the Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland).
A renowned teacher, David Cassan teaches organ at the Nancy Conservatoire and improvisation at the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés Conservatoire. He is also regularly invited to sit on the juries of national and international competitions. David Cassan is currently the titular organist of the Grand-Orgue at the Oratoire du Louvre in Paris.
