Regional Natural Park

The Comminges Barousse Pyrénées Regional Natural Park covers a remarkable area in the heart of the central Pyrenees, encompassing 170,000 hectares spread across 195 municipalities and 5 inter-municipal communities: Cagire Garonne Salat, Pyrénées Haut Comminges, Cœur et Coteaux du Comminges, Neste-Barousse, and Cœur de Garonne. This cross-border territory between the Haute-Garonne and Hautes-Pyrénées departments stretches between the Garonne and Neste valleys. This mosaic of landscapes offers a unique transition between the Gascony hills and the high Pyrenean peaks, with altitudes ranging from 200 meters in the plains to over 3,000 meters at the summits of the border ridges.

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.
