Bagnères-de-Luchon: In the Heart of the Pyrenees
In the Pyrenees, when you want to plan a mountain weekend and recharge your batteries, the town of Bagnères-de-Luchon comes first, and for good reason! The Queen of the Pyrenees is renowned for the quality of its thermal baths.
Experience Rejuvenation in Bagnères-de-Luchon
The Romans were well aware of this, and as early as the 1st century B.C., they discovered the benefits of thermal baths. A favorite destination for the world’s elite a few centuries later, Bagnères-de-Luchon welcomed such notable figures as Empress Eugénie, Alexandre Dumas, and Gustave Flaubert. All of these personalities contributed to the spa town’s fame! As you stroll through the town’s streets, be sure to admire the architecture so typical of the Belle Époque and the spa-related architectural creations: while the casino and the theater are worth seeing, it’s truly the Villa Edmond Rostand that’s worth the detour!
It would be a shame to visit Luchon without enjoying the thermal waters—the sulfur-richest in the Pyrenees! Head to“Ressources & Vous”for a moment of total relaxation.

Be sure to check out the program of thermal treatments, which have been renowned for a very long time.
