About
Situated in the heart of the village, Saint-Jean-Baptiste church bears witness to an ancient settlement.
It is mentioned in the early 18th century on the map of the diocese of Comminges drawn up by Alexis Hubert Jaillot around 1700, and also appears on the Cassini map, attesting to the stability of its location.
Under the impetus of the parish priest Bernadet, the church underwent major works, including the construction of a bell tower in 1834.
Thanks to these transformations, Saint-Jean-Baptiste church became a landmark in local religious life, combining its ancient heritage with ambitious 19th-century renovations.
Today, it is an important part of the town's heritage.
