The Gers-based theatre company OBRA will introduce you to the dark and bloody world of Macbeth. With *Bubble*, you’ll have the chance to discover the musicality of Shakespeare’s language – right there in the text! You don’t need to be an English speaker to understand what it means.
Alistair, a character with a charming accent, shares with Macbeth a boundless ambition. Whilst Macbeth dreams of power, Alistair dreams of sharing his passion for Shakespeare’s poetry and the English language with a French-speaking audience. Against a backdrop of constantly changing scenery and original music, this speaker plays every role and delivers a true linguistic tour de force, ranging from political and social history to the tense relationship between English and French. Bubble is a celebration of language and poetry, a far cry from a traditional lecture.
