The mountain resort of Le Mourtis is an ideal starting point for snowshoeing and exploring the mountain environment.

Qualified mountain leaders have combined their expertise, their friendship and their desire to help you discover the site, step by step… their den is "La Cabanôt", the Mourtis Mountain Leader Office.

We soon found ourselves in the heart of the beech fir forest.

At a medium altitude (1400/1800 m), the terrain is gentle and the slopes are not too steep, making them ideal for exploring.

The forest that surrounds us is home to most of the forest species found in the Pyrenean mountains: foxes, deer, squirrels, martens and sometimes the emblematic isard, and it is said that Môsieur l'Ours has even been spotted here…

Snowshoe walks and hikes: At least one offer per day at weekends and during school holidays. Themed walks on offer when there is no snow.
