About

A cabinetmaker and lace-maker, Leen combines her 2 crafts to create contemporary furniture in wood and rope.

She offers occasional furniture, screens, lighting and decorative panels in geometric patterns. She also works with interior designers and decorators on bespoke projects.

Bobbin lace is an ancient technique that has been reinvented using ropes of different colours and thicknesses and working on an architectural scale.

In her workshop in Estadens, she works with solid wood from the Pyrenees and natural or recycled rope.

Leen organises one-day introductory lace courses. The morning is devoted to learning the basic stitches and the afternoon to creating a small painting.
