Just a few kilometres from Toulouse, Luchon and the Ariège, the Cagire Garonne Salat region, in the heart of the Pyrenees and Comminges, invites you to discover its craftsmen and women for a workshop. Discover Mélissa and her macramé creations, and take home a unique souvenir of your stay!

Mélissa is offering a workshop on macramé, a knotted stitch technique that allows you to make creations on two different levels, and discover the different types of knots so you can create a unique piece to take home.

Course of the workshop :

– Presentation of the macramé technique.

– Choosing your rope and preparing your equipment.

– Learn the basic knots.

– Making the suspension.

The Level 1 workshop for beginners, where you will learn 2 or 3 knots and make a hanging for a plant or a small "leaf" wall hanging. The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours or less, depending on your creative pace.

The level 2 workshop for beginners/intermediates, you will learn 3 to 4 knots, you will make a plant hanging or a wall hanging, the workshop lasts approximately 3 hours or less, depending on your creative pace.

The workshops will take place in the Auberge de Fougaron, but in fine weather you may be able to do the workshop under a pergola.
