Erwan Letertre is the titular organist of the Bagnères-de-Luchon Grand Orgue.
Erwan Letertre, born in Nantes in 1978, was drawn to music from an early age and began studying the piano at the age of 11.
After studying piano with Roselyne Béringer, Erwan developed a passion for the organ, which he began studying in 1992 with Louis Yhuel, titular organist of the collegiate church of Saint-Aubin in Guérande.
In 1999, he entered the Institut Musical Européen de Besançon, where he was unanimously awarded the 2nd Year Superior Piano Diploma by the jury, with congratulations from its president, Raffi Petrossian.
During his piano and organ studies, Erwan worked on harmony and composition with Pascal Daniel, a singer and composer of liturgical chants and brother of Étienne Daniel, also a composer of choral music.
Between 1992 and 1999, Erwan was organist at the church of Saint-Martin in Vertou, Loire-Atlantique. Then from 2003 to 2011, still in Loire-Atlantique, he was organist at the parish of Saint-Vincent-des-Vignes in Vallet, where he played on the organs in Vallet, Mouzillon, la Regripière, la Chapelle-Heulinet and le Pallet.
In 2019, wishing to complete his musical studies by obtaining a Licence de Concert, he was admitted by competitive examination to the Institut Catholique de Toulouse, in the Third Cycle of liturgical organist, in the organ class of Camille Scavelli.
Since January 2019, Erwan has been a regular keyboardist at the Bagnères-de-Luchon organ and is President of the Association "Les Voix de l'Orgue Cavaillé-Coll de Luchon" (AVOCaCoL).
