About

Olivier Penin is in charge of religious music and concerts at the Basilica of Sainte Clotilde in Paris. In this role, he brings the organ to life, creating the 'Organ Saturdays' and an annual masterclass that brings together students from all over the world.

Born in 1981, Olivier Penin began playing the piano at the age of five and joined the CAEN choir school in 1987. After completing his studies, in 2004 he was appointed to the grand organ loft at the Basilique Sainte Clotilde in Paris. The sole titular organist since 2012, he is in charge of religious music and concerts. In this capacity, he brings the organ to life, notably by creating the "Organ Saturdays" and an annual masterclass that brings together students from all over the world.

He also makes recordings. In 2013, he recorded a disc for the Festivo label: 'Hommage aux maîtres de Sainte Clotilde'. His sixth CD, 'Hommage à Franck', was released in March 2016. He also records videos on the You Tube website, which now exceed one and a half million views. His concert career is marked by eclecticism. He performs in France and abroad, both on his own and with vocal ensembles and orchestras. He also enjoys performing with choirs.

As a soloist, he is a regular guest in various European countries (Holland, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Denmark, etc.), and has also performed in Russia, Mexico and Japan. He takes particular care to propose programmes in which the works are placed in perspective under a theme or an idea in order to take the listener on a journey. He is a member of juries for international competitions and is regularly invited to give masterclasses (Poland, England, Croatia, South Korea, etc.).

Glass of friendship offered at the end of the concert.

New - The Tastes & Flavors Guide

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
