La Pistouflerie presents an Afro-Ska Reggae concert…
The "Zarbo" sound is a fusion of the Diola and French languages.
Based between Toulouse and Zinguinchor, the band comprises six musicians and a repertoire of original compositions rooted in a blend of rhythms, sounds and cultures. Melodies with a Casamance flavour, energetic guitar, powerful percussion and electro-acoustic experimentation. The lyrics, often taking a stand against exclusion, nonsense and gloom, are delivered by two lead singers. A band with a strong live presence, Zarbo treats every concert as a celebration to be shared with the audience.
La Pistouflerie offers quality local drinks and produce (charcuterie and cheese platters, and vegetarian dishes) in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that has earned them the ‘Comme à la maison’ label from the Haute-Garonne department.
All the aperitif-concerts in July, August and September take place at 7.30 pm; entry is by donation and, weather permitting, will be held outdoors.
