About
The Musée de l'Aurignacien is joining forces with the Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives to present a temporary exhibition devoted to archaeological careers from Saturday 11 April to Thursday 31 December 2026.
Through a series of photographs, the exhibition highlights the diversity of archaeological professions, their specific technical features and the variety of contexts in which they work. This open-air exhibition invites visitors to discover the careers of men and women working over a wide range of periods and in the four corners of France, sometimes very close to home! The Occitanie and Haute-Garonne regions have produced a wealth of archaeological remains.
It's an ideal opportunity to find out whether brushes, shovels and pickaxes really are the indispensable tools of the archaeologist!
