Three days dedicated to Gascon culture – A unique opportunity to (re)discover the region’s culture and cuisine in a festive and friendly atmosphere!

Saturday 15th:

9.45 am–12 noon: PASSEJADA FORESTIÈRA, Forest walk with Francis Rachou, setting off from the MJC courtyard

10 am–11.30 am: BASQUE INFLUENCES ON GASCON OCCITAN, Pierre Cames – Dancing Casino

11.00–12.00: MANDAL’ÒC ACTIVITY, Creating a giant mandala with children and ‘big kids’ – Casino Park

2.00–4.00 pm: SINGING WORKSHOP, Gascon Polyphony, Wilfried Abo, Venue to be confirmed – Booking required

2.00 pm–6.00 pm: PELOTA AND GRAND CHISTERA, Introduction followed by a demonstration – Luchon Fronton

4.30 pm–7 pm: DANCE EVENT, A Quate mans & Terre Brune – Salle Henri Pac – €10, registration required

5 pm–7 pm: CANTÈRA ITINERANTA EN VILA, Polyphonic groups – Bars in the town centre

7.30 pm: APERÒ’CANTÈRA & FOOD – Casino forecourt

8.30 pm–9 pm: SING-ALONG DANCE, For everyone, acoustic performance – Casino forecourt

9.30 pm–midnight: 15 AUGUST DANCE, Musicians from Comminges – Casino forecourt

3.00 pm–4.30 pm: ‘SOPA AU PISTON’ THEATRE, Comedy with French surtitles by the Galéjaires d’Ariège – Casino dance hall

All events without specified prices are FREE ENTRY.

Workshops and classes require REGISTRATION due to limited places.
