This summer, the Pyrenees Science Tour is setting off once again to meet local residents, holidaymakers and mountain enthusiasts as part of a major scientific and educational tour.

The Gaston bus is back with its puzzles, experiments and specimens from the Pyrenees. We hope to see lots of you there!

In partnership with the charity Les Petits Débrouillards Occitanie

The Science Tour aims to create accessible and welcoming spaces to help people better understand the major environmental challenges facing mountain regions, and to learn about the Pyrenees through hands-on experimentation.

Parked in front of the museum forecourt, the Science Tour’s mobile laboratory will offer fun, science-based activities to help visitors discover the Pyrenees:

● interactive science experiments,

● games and hands-on activities,

● spaces for debate and discussion,

● participatory activities focusing on water management in the mountains, biodiversity in the Pyrenees, and the impacts of climate change

All activities are free, open to everyone and accessible without registration.

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
