Etienne Manceau and Mathieu Despoisse embark on this domestic odyssey.

*Pling-Klang* features this versatile circus duo grappling with social norms and expectations, discussing relationships whilst assembling a piece of furniture… as a couple. Does that ring a bell? You’re invited to a Swedish-style game of ping-pong! The assembly of this IKEA flat-pack, as real as it is symbolic, serves as a pretext for intimate revelations, oscillating between humour and seriousness. Their aim: to solve this puzzle in the same way as a romantic entanglement. Will they manage to bring the scattered pieces together to build something that stands up?

Mathieu Despoisse is a writer, director and performer, trained at ESAC in Rosny and at the CNAC (class of 2003). He co-founded Le Cheptel Aleikoum with fellow graduates from his year group. You may have seen him in *Dad is dead* at the Furies Festival in 2017 or in *Fail to Be a Failure*, a sensitive and playful project exploring the right to make mistakes.

Etienne Manceau is a circus artist trained at the Lido in Toulouse who co-founded the Sacékripa company in 2003 and develops work based on precision, simplicity and the uniqueness of movement. He continues his artistic exploration as a performer, director and external consultant with various companies. Perhaps you’ve seen… *Vu (!) en appartement* or *Vrai* (with his cat in a big box!) in 2021!
