This creative afternoon invites you to rediscover the time-honoured art of the ‘goguette’: the art of rewriting the lyrics of a famous tune to create a funny, socially conscious or poetic song! Suitable for all ages.

Games Library, Rue du Barry, Hôtel de Lassus

Board games and large wooden games workshops

From 2 pm to 5 pm

The games library invites you to share a timeless moment, all about fun and discovery. Come and try out a selection of different board games and take on your friends and family with our traditional large wooden games. Strategy, quick thinking and lots of laughs guaranteed!

Les Variétés Cinema, 7 Place de Verdun

Film screenings and discussions

Sunday 11 October at 6 pm

Screening of the documentary ‘Les esprits libres’ by Bertrand Hagenmüller, followed by a discussion with the audience. Set within a specialist care home, the documentary follows an extraordinary artistic endeavour: men and women living with Alzheimer’s disease or related conditions embark on a creative process guided by artists. Far from the usual clinical perspective, the camera gently captures the spark that remains. We discover that whilst words may be lost and memories may fade, sensitivity, humour and emotion remain intact. Through painting, theatre or music, these ‘free spirits’ break free from the constraints of the disease to reclaim their place in the world.
