Schedule

Ciné Lumières, Boulevard J. Mujica

Ciné-Rencontres

Screening of the documentary *Les esprits libres* by Bertrand Hagenmüller.

Monday 5 October at 6 pm

Set within a specialist care home, the documentary follows an extraordinary artistic endeavour: men and women living with Alzheimer’s disease or related conditions embark on a creative process guided by artists.

Far from the usual clinical perspective, the camera gently focuses on the spark that remains. We discover that whilst words may be lost and memories may fade, sensitivity, humour and emotion remain intact. Through painting, theatre or music, these “free spirits” break free from the constraints of the disease to reclaim their place in the world.

Inter-municipal Toy Library, 4 Avenue Bergounan

“Intuitive Painting” workshop

Thursday 15 October, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm

Come and share a creative moment with your child: “Intuitive Painting”

Creativity is good for children, but not just for them… It will help you strengthen your bond and spend some quality time with your children without overthinking it – the idea is to let go. Book by telephone on 05 61 90 61 77.

Intercultural and musical project

Thursday 8 October

As part of an intercultural partnership between Charles SURAN Secondary School, the toy library and the ADAC (Association for the Development of the Arts in Comminges), this event offers a welcoming musical experience for secondary school pupils, families and local residents. The aim: to foster social connections and promote cultural openness through the discovery of musical instruments and the joy of music.

From 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Session for young people and families.

Based on the story of the elephant family, which ties in with the theme ‘The Jungle Book’, there will be a presentation of recorders of various sizes and ranges, led by children from the ALAE (After-school Leisure Centre), families and boarding pupils from the secondary school, for a moment of shared discovery and wonder at the instruments.

From 6.30 pm, a music teacher will give a presentation and demonstrate how to take an accordion apart, followed by a short concert.

At the Elvire Gay care home, 3 Avenue de Saint-Gaudens

Adapted, intergenerational sports activities

From 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. Organised by the Inter-municipal Sport and Health Programme for residents, recipients of the SAAD (Boulogne-sur-Gesse home help and support service) and children from the ALSH (day care centre).
