Welcome to Bear Country! In the charming Gîte de Pene Blanque, an old village house that has been tastefully renovated, you'll find peace and quiet for a holiday with family or friends.

Julien and Céline have been living in the village of Arbas for 17 years, and it took them 4 years of work before they were able to offer you this accommodation with its very special decoration, furnishings and comfort, demonstrating their passion for things well done. They're already looking forward to welcoming you, so book with your eyes shut!

Ideally situated in the heart of Pyrenean bear country, the village offers a multitude of sporting activities: cycle and mountain bike trails next to the gîte, paragliding from the village…In the surrounding area, you won't be bored: the start of the Planque hike is 2km away and the Fontaine de l'Ours hike is 8km away, the village of Aspet is 12km away (Cocktail Aventure, O2 Bike, municipal swimming pool open all summer, remarkable market, shops), Salies-du-Salat is 15km away (casino, golf course and thermal baths) and Saint-Girons is 30km away (Ariège department). For local food, there is a goat's cheese dairy in a nearby village (the cheese is sold at the market on Sundays), the Auberge de Fougaron is 3km away, La Meurette in Rouède is 7km and Le Quésaco in Saleich is 10km. Saint-Gaudens is 25km away and Toulouse 90km.

Gîte on 3 levels:

– Ground floor overlooking laneway: living room (Bluetooth speaker), kitchen/dining room, separate WC.

– First floor: 3 bedrooms (2 single beds 90*200cm) (1 double bed 160*200, shower room) (1 double bed 140*200, shower room), office and tourist information in the corridor, bathroom, separate WC.

– Second floor: games and reading room with sofa bed 140*200cm (board games, DVD player) and fully-equipped kitchen with direct access to the roof terrace. Possibility of playing pétanque in the driveway (no garden). Petanque balls and rackets available on loan.
