On the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela (GR78), this former coaching inn at the foot of the Pyrenees is the ideal place for a family get-together or for pilgrims, 14km from one of France's favourite villages, Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges.

In the heart of the Pyrenean village of Saint-Pé-d'Ardet, you’ll enjoy stopping off for a short break or staying for a longer period in this magnificent golden-stone building with a south-facing open gallery, where the owners have taken great care to preserve and restore all the historic features. Here, whether you’re travelling alone or in a group, you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet and the surrounding countryside, and can indulge in all the outdoor leisure activities and sports that the mountains have to offer.

The gîte comprises two buildings (the first containing the bedrooms, a dormitory, kitchen, lounge, fireplace and veranda; the second a large communal room of 80m²) and a courtyard extending onto a terrace, allowing you to make the most of sunny days. There’s a restaurant 50 metres away and a lake for walks 500 metres away.

Nearby activities and attractions: the Garonne cycle path (6 km away, also ideal for fishing), Pyrénées-Hô tree-top adventure and climbing park (8 km away), Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges – voted France’s favourite village (14 km away), Montréjeau (18 km away, with a lake, market and railway station), the Antignac rafting centre 21 km away, and the Luchon and Mourtis ski resorts 24 km away.

– Ground floor: self-catering kitchen and lounge (fireplace, bookcase, games, etc.), 1 bedroom accessible to guests with reduced mobility (2 single beds, 90×190 cm), toilet.

– On the first floor: 3 bedrooms, one with 4 single beds (90×190 cm) (two of which can be joined), and two accessible from the gallery, each with 2 single beds (90×190 cm) that can be joined.

– On the second floor in the attic: 1 bedroom (1 double bed, 140 × 190 cm) and 1 small dormitory (1 double bed, 140 × 190 cm, and 1 single bed, 90 × 190 cm). Each sleeping unit (bedroom or dormitory) is equipped with an en-suite shower room and toilet, with the exception of the second floor, where the toilet is shared.

2026 rates: per bed for overnight stays: €20 per person per night. Half-board: €40. Self-catering: €380 per night; weekends: €740; weekdays: €2,000. Cleaning: €120.
