LE GITE DE LA LOUTRE

About

The gîte de la loutre is a recently renovated barn typical of the Comminges region, with a terrace and garden. This peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing break for all the family, allowing you to savour moments of idleness as well as exploring the Pyrenean foothills.

At the foot of the Pyrenees, close to Aspet, it's also an ideal base for walking, mountain biking or horse-riding.

There is also a large garden planted with trees and a comfortable relaxation area, with garden furniture and an outdoor dining area.

Cyclists will find plenty of space to park and prepare their bikes.

If you're coming on horseback, horses are also welcome: meadow, shelter, water.

Dogs and cats are welcome as long as they respect the other animals living here: dogs, cats, chickens, donkeys and horses.

Donkey rides are available from the farm, with various routes starting from the gîte.

In winter, an extra charge will be made for heating, based on consumption figures.

Courtyard, garden and barbecue are independent.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

Some ideas for walks

– numerous footpaths and walking routes, including the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela

– the Garonne and the Ger and Job rivers, renowned for their fishing

– tourism providers offering mountain biking, caving, paragliding and water sports (rafting, canyoning, etc.)

– The village of Aspet, with its two weekly markets (on Wednesdays and Saturdays, one of the most beautiful in the Haute-Garonne), as well as its shops, restaurants and swimming pool, 9 km away.

The gîte is adjoining the owner's house, but is not opposite.

Marion, who lives in the adjoining house, is usually on hand to answer any questions you may have or give you local information.
