About
The Portillon mountain refuge, situated near the lake of the same name, is the ideal spot for high-mountain enthusiasts. The 4½-hour ascent, taking in all the mountain zones along a well-marked old mule track – paved in places – can be punctuated by stops at the Lac d’Oô refuge and then the Espingo refuge.
Those spending their first night in a refuge will discover the mountain atmosphere in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
