21 – LE PIC DU LION

Steps

Step 1

From the Port de Balès (1,755 m), take the track leading to the Port de Pierrefitte and its cromlechs (1,857 m) (signpost no. 21).

Step 4

At the pass, take the steep path up on your left; the summit is a few minutes away. It is a magnificent viewpoint straddling the Haute-Garonne and the Hautes-Pyrénées.

Step 5

Return via the same route or via the ridge that descends towards the Port de Pierrefitte.

Step 2

When you reach the pass, take the path down to Lake Bordères (sign).

Step 3

At the lake (1,766 m), take the path on the left overlooking the lake. The path climbs up a small valley to the Col du Lion (2,004 m). -"
