40 – RANDONNÉE EN HAUT LARBOUST

Steps

Step 1

Leave your vehicle at the entrance to the village of Portet-de-Luchon, cross the village, turn right to pass behind the church. Continue along the path towards Jurvielle. The path is easy and very pleasant. At the next intersection, turn right towards Jurvielle.

Step 2

In the village, opposite the church, turn left, cross the village and, at the stone cross, take the track on your right.

Step 3

At the end of this track (1,335 m), take the path on your right towards the village of Poubeau. This path overlooks the village of Jurvielle.

Step 5

Continue along the path on your left towards the barns of Labach de Cathervielle (1,293 m).

Step 6

When you reach these barns, turn right onto the cement track, which becomes a paved road leading to the village.

Step 4

After a few minutes, you will reach a winding track at the end of which you will discover a superb viewpoint.

Step 7

In the village, go down to the left towards the town hall, then cross the D76c, go down the small path, cross the footbridge to reach the Moraine de Garin site and its overlooking chapel.

Step 8

Take the path on your right towards the village of Portet-de-Luchon, cross the Pont de Mardan bridge, climb one last hill and you will reach the village of Portet-de-Luchon.

Step 9

Turn right to find the church and mill at the entrance to the village.
