46 – LA BOUCLE DES CROMLECHS

Steps

Step 1

The path starts at the edge of the village of Benqué-Dessus. At the first crossroads, take the track leading up on your left, signposted in red and yellow (GRPays Oueil-Larboust) or yellow no. 46. Follow this track, passing through the 2 gates (remember to close them), until you come to a sign indicating the cromlechs on the ridge (1346m).

Step 2

The view of the high Luchon peaks is fantastic. At the cromlechs, descend to the left along the ridge. The descent is a little steep but not difficult.

Step 3

When you reach a junction with a small gate, turn left towards Benqué/Saint-Aventin.

Step 4

At the bench (1015m), turn left onto the path through the undergrowth, known as the Voie Claude, and in a few minutes you'll be back at your starting point.
