62 – LA CABANE DE SALODE

Steps

Step 1

Cross the village of Gouaux-de-Luchon (933m). At the last house, the track climbs up to your right (signpost no. 62). The hairpin bends allow you to progress without too much difficulty.

Step 2

You will pass a gate and a little further on, a sign will tell you to climb up into the meadows on your left (sign). Follow this until you reach the entrance to a new wood. Here, the track levels out and the walk through the wood is peaceful.

Step 3

A few minutes later, at the exit, you will see the hut in front of you (1,561 m). The setting is simply magnificent. Take a moment to enjoy it.

Step 4

Return via the same route.
