65 – LA CABANE DE PEYREHITTE

Steps

Step 1

Cross the village of Artigue. At the exit, after the church, take the track leading up to the pastures. Follow this track across the pastures and a plantation, always following the red and white markings of the GR 10 or the yellow markings of the No. 65.

Step 3

At the edge of the forest, the track winds upwards and you will reach the Saunères hut (1,675 m). The view is already superb!

Step 4

Continue along the path above, marked GR10 or No. 65, towards the Pic de Bacanère (2,193 m).

Step 2

At the next intersection, take the path on the right.

Step 5

You will reach the ridge just above and continue along it until you reach a small pass. There you will see the Peyrehitte hut below (1940m).

Step 6

Return via the same route.
