Steps

Step 1
From Luchon station, turn right towards the villages of Moustajon and Antignac (D 125C). At the roundabout, follow the signs for Cierp-Gaud (D 125).
Step 2
Continue towards Loures Barousse / St-Bertrand de Comminges (D 125). Drive through Loures Barousse and follow the signs for Valcabrère, then St-Bertrand de Comminges (D 26).
Step 3
Turn left towards Sarp and at the roundabout, turn right towards Mauléon Barousse (D 925).
Step 4
You are about to begin the climb up the Port de Balès: 18.9 km – average gradient 6.27% – maximum gradient 14%.
Step 5
From the summit, you descend into the Oueil valley as far as Luchon.
