CYCL – MONTÉE DES AGUDES DEPUIS LUCHON

Steps

Step 1

From Luchon station, head towards the Col de Peyresourde by turning right at the Lionne roundabout.

Step 2

For 3 km, the gradient is uneven (4 to 7 per cent) until the road levels out. After that, the climb is steady until the junction with the Oueil Valley.

Step 3

The gradient increases, becoming significantly steeper from Garin onwards.

Step 4

On leaving Garin, turn left onto the D76B towards Gouaux de Larboust. The section through and out of the village is particularly steep, with short but steep gradients of nearly 9 per cent.

Step 5

The road becomes more winding, with long hairpin bends. The gradient eases off for the final kilometre before reaching the Agudes side of the Peyragudes ski resort.
