OUR BRANDS, LABELS COMMITMENTS

Quality Tourism Brand

The tourist office embarked on a continuous improvement process and obtained the Qualité Tourisme (Quality Tourism) brand in 2017, which recognizes its reception skills and services. The brand was renewed in 2025.

Our Tourist Office is classified in Category I, the highest distinction.

All offices are accessible to visitors with disabilities. And the Montréjeau office is certified Tourisme Handicap (Tourism Disability) for all 4 types of impairment: auditory, mental, motor, and visual.

Accueil Vélo Logo

Our 5 tourist information offices are certified Accueil Vélo (Cyclists Welcome). We can accommodate all cyclists and mountain bikers to refill their water bottles, repair a puncture or a wheel, or even wash their bikes.

The Tourist Office is engaged in the “Destination d’Excellence” (Destination of Excellence) labeling process. This new label aims to strengthen quality across the entire range of tourist offerings: accommodation, restaurants, visitor or leisure sites, tourist information points (including tourist offices), and transport. In addition to the challenge of reception and service quality, which drives the sector, this label will particularly reinforce the level of requirement in terms of eco-responsibility.

Abri d'Aurignac

In a very natural and preserved territory, the Tourist Office must also work to reduce its ecological impact, both for printed documents and in its daily operations:

  • carpooling and use of a 100% electric service vehicle
  • energy and paper savings,
  • waste sorting,

But our offices are also sensitive to societal and social issues and daily undertake actions for the well-being of their employees.

No holidays for eco-actions

Don’t forget…

For a lesser impact on the environment, here are some simple actions each of us can take to reduce various pollutions.

Selective waste sorting

Depending on your place of residence, specific bins are available for waste sorting. Failing that, voluntary waste sorting columns are distributed throughout the territory. To find out locations and collection days, contact Communauté de Communes Coeur et Coteaux du Comminges, Waste Department: 05 61 89 05 42

Water savings

Some tips to consume it better and help preserve it from pollution:

  • I drink tap water rather than bottled water
  • I turn off the tap when brushing my teeth
  • I use vegetable washing water to water plants…

New - The Tastes & Flavors Guide

While eating well without breaking the bank is a major concern for our fellow citizens, short supply chains are thriving in Comminges. Now more than ever, there has been a growing need for a guide that lists producers, restaurateurs, and food professionals who sell their creations directly to consumers and work with local products in an ethical manner.

From Farm to Table with Complete Transparency: The Charter

The Charter of Commitment was developed by and for professionals in partnership with the Comminges-Pyrénées Tourism Office. It highlights producers from all fields and chefs who work according to best practices, promote Comminges products, and share their respective expertise.

The guide “Goûts et Saveurs en Comminges” is not just a directory of businesses. It is much more than that. As you turn the pages, you’ll also find recipes, profiles, and interviews.
