On the right bank of the Pique stand the Russian and Persian chalets, dating from 1860, which symbolise the European aristocracy’s holidays during the Belle Époque.
They are a symbol of the European aristocracy’s holidays during the Belle Époque. This juxtaposition of two architectural styles – neoclassical and picturesque – is a fine example of the eclecticism that was in vogue in the last century.
