MIRAMONT-DE-COMMINGES

About
This multi-facetted space is at once a place of memory of our industrial heritage (it tells the story of the "Garonne hydroelectric"), a place of resources for observing the river (history of the floods that have shaped the surrounding landscape) and a place for discovering and raising awareness …
Activities, hands-on games, film screenings, a guided discovery tour of the village and the banks of the Garonne, and an immersive, fun experience application.
Above all, it's an educational space designed especially for schoolchildren of all ages and backgrounds, who will discover through the history of the Garonne the importance it has played and continues to play in the lives of people and our region.
The building has a history that speaks to the people of the region, as it was the "Refuge of the Spaniards".
Many Spaniards who fled their country during the "Retirada" found refuge here.
The site is therefore a symbol of remembrance for the region.
Groups welcome on request all year round.
