2026 has been designated the ‘International Year of Transhumance and Pastoral Herders’. To mark the occasion, the Archives branch is offering a programme celebrating shepherds and their livestock, transhumance, pasture management, and the traditions and expertise of our region!

As part of the programme of events centred on transhumance and pastoralism, volunteers from “Cultura Occitana en Comenge” will be on hand to give demonstrations of Occitan dances and songs, accompanied by the violin and the diatonic accordion! We would like to thank them for taking part!
