The guitarist and singer Marco Grancelli, originally from Argentina and now based in Toulouse, is a leading exponent of traditional South American music, both in his native country and in Europe. He performs original compositions based on Argentine folk rhythms such as zambas, chacareras and vidalas. His musical practice and style are enriched by his frequent travels in South America and encounters with leading figures in Creole music in Peru and Chile. A deep voice, backed by exceptional guitar playing, lends both power and gentleness to Marco Grancelli’s concerts; like a storyteller, he knows how to forge a special bond with his audience.
