Event organised by the Salva Terra association.
Saturday 17th, 9am to 5pm:
– Apple pressing for the public: the Salva Terra association will press your apples using its mobile press. Booking essential: 06 77 57 29 09.
– From 10.00 am to 5.00 pm: walk organised by the rural community centres; please bring a packed lunch. Meet in front of the village hall in Sauveterre-de-Comminges.
Sunday 18th, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm:
– Apple pressing: the Salvaterra association will be pressing apples all day and selling fresh and pasteurised apple juice at €3.50 per litre, with proceeds going to the association.
– Gourmet market featuring local producers and craftspeople.
– Exhibition of heritage apple varieties by “Les vergers retrouvés du Comminges”.
– Activities: workshops on hat-making, sweet-making, bread-baking, and squaring a beam with an axe.
– At 11.00 am: official opening of the 26th Apple Festival, accompanied by the Rural Jazz Band.
– At 12 noon: catering provided by “David and Natacha Mazel”.
