About
Tous les ans, le premier dimanche de septembre, le petit village de Péguilhan replonge ses visiteurs dans les années 30. Une immersion dans la vie rurale, avec des démonstrations des métiers et savoir-faire d’autrefois.
Theme of the year: electricity
A theatrical performance about the arrival of electricity in the village
And also: a reconstruction of a mill, traditional cuisine, a siphon and a hydraulic ram, building and woodworking trades, a rope-maker, wool working, and old-fashioned equipment…
Schedule
– From 10.00 am: demonstration of sheepdog work – at the stadium
– 12.00 pm: Lunch in the market hall
Registration by telephone; payment on the day
Menu: Cold meats – Traditional-style potatoes and pork ribs (sausage for children) – Cheese and croustade – Bread, wine and coffee
Or sandwiches and chips from the organising committee (no booking required)
– 2.30 pm: Opening of ‘Péguilhan 1930’
This year’s theme: Electricity
– 6 pm: Musical aperitif and open-air café, followed by a musette dance
