Martha Singer-Delamotte and Betty Von G., two specialists in the Anthropocene, invite you – with your ears constantly tuned in to the audio guide – to visit Luchon, whilst exploring the strange customs and traditions of men and women from bygone eras.
The secret ambition of this Belgian theatre company is that you should be able to sum up its shows in a single sentence – and then spend the whole night thinking about it! So, in a nutshell: this disconcerting tour, shaped by chance encounters and situations, leads us to scrutinise our own civilisation under a magnifying glass – and with plenty of (Belgian!) humour…
La Pigeonnière is a Franco-Belgian theatre company founded in Brussels in 2017 and led by a duo of female directors. It brings together actresses, performers and musicians and defines itself as a laboratory for immersive theatre and off-site creation. The company works everywhere: on the streets, in derelict sites, bars, living rooms, cellars, cemeteries or on trams. As a place where reality and fiction collide, La Pigeonnière blurs the boundaries between audience and performers. It collaborates with a wide variety of people and organisations, some of which have nothing to do with theatre. La Pigeonnière loves the unexpected, poetry, surprises, things that appear or disappear without explanation… and play!
