The local association, which is responsible for :
– managing the fishing routes in the commune and around the valley,
– protecting the rivers and aquatic environment (La Pique, areas close to the Garonne),
– helping to restock fish stocks, especially trout,
– monitor aquatic environments and combat poaching,
– occasionally organise fishing-related events.
Where to fish with the Cierp-Gaud AAPPMA?
– Lac de Cierp-Gaud (Lac du Rouziet), a small lake on the plain that is very popular for trout, with a pontoon for disabled anglers. Boat fishing is prohibited.
La Pique, a river renowned in the valley for its fario trout.
