The AAPPMA de Montréjeau et du Haut-Comminges offers beginners and experienced anglers alike a vast area in which to discover fishing. Renowned for its dynamism, throughout the year the AAPPMA organises activities, introductions and friendly events designed to pass on the passion for fishing and respect for the aquatic environment. With its fishing school, family-friendly courses and commitment to preserving the waterways of the Comminges, it plays an active role in bringing the region to life and promoting an outdoor leisure activity that is accessible to all.
The association manages
– Lake Montréjeau
– Gourdan-Polignan lake
– Pointis-de-Rivière lake
– Lake Barbazan
– Several courses on the Garonne and Neste rivers
The Lac de Montréjeau is classified as a second category lake for fish and has a course for young people as well as facilities to encourage access to fishing for all.
The AAPPMA organises a number of events each year:
Fishing festivals, fishing mornings for children, introductory courses for beginners, outings for schools and leisure centres, summer events, natural fishing workshops, discovery days for residents of nursing homes and people with disabilities, natural fishing workshops, etc.
In addition to fishing, the AAPPMA carries out :
– Fario trout stocking
– Creation and maintenance of spawning grounds
– Cleaning up riverbanks
– Maintenance of fishing routes
– Environmental awareness campaigns.
