Situated in the Larboust Valley, a beautiful glacial valley, the Espingo refuge lies halfway between the Val d’Astau – one of the last bastions of mountain pastoralism – and the high peaks of the Luchonnais region (home to the highest concentration of 3,000-metre peaks in the Pyrenees).
