CYCL 8 – MONTÉE DE LÈHOSPICE DE FRANCE DEPUIS LUCHON

Steps

Step 1

Head south from Luchon, following the thermal spa park.

Step 2

Pass the road heading towards Spain on your left and carry on straight ahead along the D 125.

Step 3

Your climb begins as soon as you leave Luchon. After 5 km, following a slight levelling-off at the ‘Pont de Ravi’, turn left towards the Hospice de France.

Step 4

The road narrows and becomes very wooded. From km 7 to km 9.5, the gradient remains consistently between 11 per cent and 13 per cent, with peaks of almost 15 per cent.

Step 5

The final kilometre is barely any easier, with a 10 per cent gradient to the finish.
