Jean-Marie Mengue – 1921

A statue of a soldier in leave uniform returning home, having been discharged for good. At his feet lie a few items: a helmet covering branches of oak, laurel and olive. His wife is walking towards him to welcome him home.

The monument was re-gilded after 2014.
