Brin De Ferme is a farm based in Sauveterre de Comminges. We offer a wide variety of seasonal vegetables as well as extra-fresh, organic-certified eggs in the Comminges region

Sales outlets:

– Sunday mornings at the Sauveterre de Comminges market,

– Thursday mornings at the Saint Gaudens market,

– On the second Wednesday of the month at the La BOTTE farmers’ market in Sarp, from 5pm to 8pm.

Brin De Ferme aims to be a diversified and resilient small-scale farming enterprise which, we hope, will be well-suited to the local area and to contemporary changes.

In our commitment to establishing a system of sustainable resource management, reducing petroleum-based inputs and minimising tillage, we aim to transition to animal-drawn machinery and minimise the use of plastic in our farming practices.

Determined to establish production methods with a low environmental impact, we apply the principles of agroecology by practising gentle pest and weed management, conserving resources and encouraging greater biodiversity.

To support this, we grow a wide variety of vegetables – the majority of which are from heirloom seeds – as well as some cereals and flowers. We take care to preserve suitable habitats and leave open spaces where wild grasses and nettles allow pollinators and beneficial predators – such as wild bees, birds and grass snakes – to thrive.

Brin De Ferme’s laying hens enjoy grassy, shaded areas; furthermore, their manure, once composted, enriches the soil in our crop areas.

We are determined to preserve the place where we have settled and to make a living from it, by selling our high-quality, AB-certified farm produce directly to local customers.
