Adhésion association Office de Tourisme

Find out what drives us …

The tourist office is here to serve you… and the local community.

“Um… what is a tourist office, anyway? 🤔 We’ll tell you everything… but I promise, we don’t just hand out brochures! 🤭”

A few clarifications…

The tourist office is an association governed by the Tourism Code.

It is a public service with mandatory responsibilities:

Employees are covered by the collective bargaining agreement for tourism organizations.

The tourist office is a member of the national federation ADN Tourisme https://www.adn-tourisme.fr/

Our Commitments to Visitors

Inform, advise, welcome, and sell!

For many years now, the tourist office has expanded its scope of work to address the needs of residents, newcomers to the communities, and visitors. It has also adapted its communication strategies to reach an increasingly connected audience and to fulfill its commitments, particularly in the area of sustainable development.

Another development is its commitment to the Qualité Tourisme™ and “Destination d’Excellence” —which, thanks to its rigorous standards, has enabled the tourism office and its local experts to improve their services, providing you with accurate and up-to-date information to meet your needs and offer you the most personalized advice possible.

In summary:

The tourist office is your first stop for making the most of your time—whether you’re at home, on vacation, or on a business trip!

When you walk in, you’ll find destination experts and travel advisors who are well-informed about the unique character and attractions of the region and who can help you…

  • guide you in your exploration of tourism and leisure activities
  • help you find lodging, dining options, recreational activities, cultural attractions, and more…
  • We offer a variety of tickets: a guided tour, an evening show or concert, a boat trip, or a visit to a wildlife park. Our shops let you take home souvenirs of the destination and local products…

The team works year-round and, as soon as the tourist season ends, to:

  • data updates,
  • managing the destination’s website and social media,
  • support from a network of partners,
  • the development and planning of tourism and recreation in partnership with local municipalities and their elected officials. For example, the destination includes four towns certified as “Station Verte” (Green Resort); it is part of the Regional Nature Park; and its participation in various agricultural fairs and events demonstrates its commitment to the local community, its region, and its traditions, while remaining focused on the future of tourism, which is constantly evolving…
  • the tourism monitoring system (quantitative and qualitative) for its territory,
  • To fulfill our quality commitments and provide a level of service commensurate with our status as a Category I Tourist Office and a “Destination of Excellence.”
  • Guide the customer based on their expectations by helping them explore the area,
  • Encourage the purchase of local products in our stores and other retail establishments
  • Encourage people to book their tickets for a local event through our ticketing services.

Our knowledge of the region and the service providers based there enables us to advise, inform, and support our clients.

We carry out this mission at the reception desks of our five tourist information offices, as well as in advance by phone and during your stay, by mail, or online.

Our Commitments to Local Partners

Engage, unite, develop, promote…

The tourist office aims to promote the region.
In collaboration with local tourism stakeholders (service providers, elected officials, partners, etc.), the Comminges Pyrénées Intermunicipal Tourism Office helps promote the region by:

  • The creation of brochures for its partners’ offerings,
  • Improving the visibility of the destination and its offerings on the web,
  • His presence on social media,
  • The sale of vacation packages and tickets,
  • Exhibitions in the exhibition hall at the Saint-Gaudens and Montréjeau tourist offices,
  • News coverage in local media,
  • Participation in tourism fairs and other local, departmental, or regional events… (document exchange fairs, business tourism, tourism fairs, etc.)
  • Marketing efforts that contribute to the development of local tourism projects to promote the destination: cycling loops, shops selling local products, and tourist tours
  • Providing support to professionals who are developing projects by informing them about the steps they need to take to apply for classification and certification.
